ELMIRA -- Elmira Police are looking for two teenagers who allegedly vandalized Eldridge Park this weekend. Surveillance video shows the two with flashlights cross paths with Eldridge Park officials a little before 11:00 p.m. Saturday. Carousel Preservation Society president, Dr. Bob Lyon, says the two then tossed picnic tables into the lake and cut loose $6,000 paddle boat from the dock. The dragon boat was not damaged. Dr. Lyon warns no one should be near the park after 10:00. “If you're at Eldridge Park, you're on camera. There's no room for vandalism at Eldridge or anywhere else in this city,” he said. If you have any information on the vandals, call the Elmira Police Department's tip line: (607) 271-HALT.
