     A driver and two passengers from Tompkins County faces charges after leading police on a high-speed chase in a stolen car this weekend.
     New York State Police say the chase started on Interstate-81 in Cortlandville when they spotted a car reported stolen from Ithaca Police. Troopers chased the car that went nearly 100 m.p.h from the Interstate onto local roads. The chase continued through Chenango and Madison counties.
     Troopers finally got the car to stop after a 75-mile chase. It all ended back in Cortland County in the Town of Taylor when the suspects' car slid into a ditch.
     Police arrested the driver 24-year old Chad Mayhew of Groton and the passengers, 20-year old Jonathon Babcock of Ithaca and 20-year-old Samantha Greene of Ithaca. All three are charged with criminal possession of stolen property and more charges are pending.
