Armyworms are Back in the Finger Lakes
WATKINS GLEN (WENY)-- Army worms are back in parts of New York.
The State's Agriculture Commissioner says there's been an uptick of army worm reports from farmers in the Finger Lakes region. The worms feed on cereal grasses, alfalfa and sweet corn during the night. They move in large groups but they are easily controlled chemically.
New York's last serious infestation was four years ago.
