Athens Woman Accused of Swindling Victim
ATHENS, PA (WENY) -- An Athens woman is jail, accused of swindling a man out of more than $100,000.
According to a criminal complaint, police say 25 year old Ashley Perry acted as the victim's power of attorney. The complaint accused Perry of charging more than $20,000 on the victim's credit card, including $6,000 for bath salts and synthetic marijuana. She's also accused of withdrawing more than $94,000 from the victim's savings and checking accounts, including $12,000 in checks she wrote to herself.
Perry's now in the Bradford County jail on a slew of charges, including device fraud, theft, receiving stolen property and forgery.
