CMoG Event Kicks Off GlassFest
May 24, 2012
CORNING (WENY) -- Hundreds kicked off Glass Fest 2012 last night at the Corning Museum of Glass. The 2300 degrees event is always the official start to the festival, which runs this Friday through Sunday.
Dining and artist vendors, live entertainers and a new fireworks show are just some of the attractions visitors can expect this weekend.
Organizers say the goal is to bring people into the Gaffer District, and keep them coming back throughout the season.
"We have more and more people coming every year because of the good times that are had here," says Coleen Fabrizi, executive director of the Gaffer District.
