Corning Shelter Closer to Opening

CORNING (WENY) -- A Corning-based dog shelter just moved a step closer to opening its doors to rescue animals in need of a good home. The Corning Town Board unanimously approved a conditional permit for Tanner's Paws, a new shelter, rescue and population management non-profit agency.
The next step is to actually get the money to start construction...that's going to cost about $47,000. Project leaders hope to start building the shelter in September.
