Gas Drilling Company Fined
PENNSYLVANIA (WENY) -- A natural gas drilling company paid a $21,029 fine after one of its workers dumped drilling waste on state game lands in Bradford County.
The Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection fined RW Products, LLC of West Virginia, after Josh Foster dumped 800 gallons drilling mud in Warren Township last December. Foster admitted to intentionally dumping the waste from a nearby Talisman Energy well pad.
Talisman cleaned up the spill, and environmental officials say it caused no harm to the environment. Foster pleaded guilty to criminal mischief. He's scheduled for sentencing on May 17th.
