Crews Respond to a Lee Avenue House Fire
May 16, 2012
HORSEHEADS (WENY) -- More than a dozen firefighters responded to a house fire Wednesday night that sent one man to the hospital.
Neighbors say the sole resident at 235 Lee Avenue had to be rescued from the burning house and was taken away by ambulance with unknown injuries.
When we pulled up around 10:20, there was lots of smoke pouring out of the roof, but crews had subdued it by 11 o'clock.
Horseheads police, firefighters and a NYSEG crew were on scene.
No other people were in the house, and the cause of the fire is still under investigation.
