Italian Students Land in the S. Tier
CORNING (WENY)---A group of italian students are settling in to the Southern Tier and they arrived to open arms.
The students were welcomed to Corning with a meet-and-greet celebration from local politicians and residents.
Thirteen students and two teachers from San Giovannia Valdarno, Italy arrived today. They're part of the Corning Sister Cities Association culture exchange program.
The students are staying for 10 days to study at the Corning East Highschool, where they'll have the chance to experience the life of an American teenager.
The program is designed to give students the opportunity to learn all about the American culture...including a visit to the nation's capital.
