ITHACA, NY (WENY)---The Ithaca-Tompkins Regional Airport is getting $2.9 million in grants from the Federal Aviation Administration.

On Tuesday, the county legislature officially accepted the grants from the F.A.A. The grants will help buy snow removal equipment and help with the construction of an addition to the Aircraft rescue and firefighting building.

The money will also fund a terminal expansion feasibility study.
