Second Reported Assault In Ithaca's Homeless Encampment This Summer

ITHACA, NY (WENY)---There's been another act of violence in the Ithaca's homeless encampment known as "the jungle." it happened monday near South Fulton Street.
A 40-year old male was found with severe cuts to his back. Police say the cuts were caused by a knife and the victim knew his attacker---a female acquaintance.The victim, whose identity has not been released was transported to Guthrie Medical Center in Sayre for serious but non-life threatning injuries. Charges are pending.
This is the second reported act of violence in the jungle, this summer.
