ITHACA (WENY)---Ithaca Police are searching for a suspect in a reported strong armed robbery.

It happened just before one this morning near 200 West Seneca Street.

Police say a man jumped into the passenger seat of a woman's parked car and demanded money.

According to Police, the victim said the suspect may have had a concealed weapon in his jacket pocket.

He stole money from the woman and ran towards North Geneva Street.

Police are looking for a short and stocky black man with a round face.

They say he was wearing a white shirt, dark jacket with stripes on the sleeve and an emblem on the chest.
