ELMIRA, NY (WENY) -- The bankruptcy court judge presiding over the future of First Arena says there should still be hockey in Elmira this season.
     That's according to our media partner, the Star Gazette.
     Judge Paul Warren is presiding over bankruptcy proceedings for Elmira Downtown Arena, LLC - the former operator of First Arena. EDA filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy earlier this month, just days before the Arena's new owner, Tom Freeman, was set to close on the property.
      The judge today suggested the parties work to come to an agreement for the Jackals to play at First Arena when the season starts in October, though he does not have the jurisdiction to order it.
