New Attraction Open at Eldridge Park
ELMIRA (WENY) -- Eldridge Park's newest addition officially opened on Wednesday. The "Thunderbirds", the park's new Flying Scooter ride, is now open to the public. The Eldridge Park Carousel Preservation Society bought the attraction from another amusement park in Indiana thanks to the help of generous donors.
Society members say they're excited to get this vintage ride, and to continue improvements at the city park.
"It's an old ride but it's still just a thrilling ride," says Mike Robertson, EPCPS President. "People love it and they're just excited to have it back. It's a great draw for the park."
Kids must be at least 36" tall to ride with an adult, or 42" tall to ride without one. The ride will be open Wednesday-Friday 5-9 PM, Saturday 12-9 PM, and Sunday from 12-8 PM. The cost to ride is $2 per person.
