          ALBANY (WENY) --  Senator Tom O'Mara wants to strengthen New York's economic competitive edge and improve the state business climate.

         The economic development program called New Jobs N-Y would provide small businesses with tax cuts, tax credits, and provide incentives for businesses to expand their work forces.  Sen. O'Mara says the plan is especially important for the economic security of upstate communities and workers.

         The senate passed the legislation on Wednesday.  The bill now heads to the Assembly.
