UPDATE: Potter County Jail Escapee Caught

     UPDATE (WENY) -- A Northern Tier man who escaped from the Potter County jail is now in police custody.
     State
Police say 18 year-old Andrew Jeffers of Ulysses escaped yesterday afternoon... He was captured at 10:40 this morning, after state troopers spotted Jeffers in the woods and set up a perimiter. The Coudersport police chief tells WENY TV News Jeffers surrendered without incident.
     Jeffers is now back in jail on $75,000 bail, charged with third degree escape, a felony.

ULYSSES, PA (WENY) -- Pennsylvania State Troops are asking for your help to locate a man who escaped the Potter County Jail.

Police say 18 year-old Andrew Jeffers of Ulysses Pennsylvania was last seen heading north through the woods near the Coudersport Consistory.

Police tell us he is the in woods in Ulysses area wearing blue jeans, light blue tee shirt and carrying a black hoodie.

Jeffers is 5 foot 7, 140 pounds, with black hair, brown eyes and a light brown beard.

Pennsylvania State Police tell us he was arrested for stealing motorcycles.
