(WENY)-- Representative Tom Reed confirms that he is taking part in three debates with 23rd Congressional District hopeful Nate Shinagawa.  Over the weekend, the official campaign website for Shinagawa, nateshinagawa.com, released a statement that said Reed would not agree to any debates in western portions of the 23rd Congressional District.

In his weekly address to the media today, Congressman Reed fired back saying "we sent out a press release Friday afternoon identifying that we are engaging in three debates. The three debates are in each section of the district and cover the entire district so I really can't comment on something that's not accurate like that".

The debates will take place in Elmira, Geneva and Jamestown.  All of the debates will be available for replay online.
