Woodhull Gas Leak Investigation Continues
Written By: Renata Stiehl
WOODHULL, NY (WENY) -- The cause of a natural gas leak in Woodhull Friday evening is still under investigation today.
Steuben County emergency officials evacuated about 400 homes within a two-mile radius of the center of town Friday, after a natural gas main break. They say a valve on a pipeline blew, sending natural gas into the area. The pipeline is owned by Virginia-based Dominion Gas Transmission, which was able to stop the leak.
Residents were allowed to return home around 11 o'clock Friday night. Our calls to Dominion today were not returned.
