RNC Events Pushed Back
TAMPA (WENY) -- The floor of the Tampa Bay Times Forum would have been a little more hopping on day one of the Republican National Convention had mother nature not interfered.
Tropical Storm Isaac delayed the opening events of the convention, when RNC Chair Reince Priebus called the convention to recess. He did turn on this U.S. national debt clock, which is now approaching $16 trillion. He also turned on a clock that shows the debt the U.S. will inherit during the four days of the convention.
Meanwhile, our New York delegation spent the day continuing their events as planned. Tuesday, they'll be back for the roll call to officially nominate Mitt Romney and Paul Ryan.
The evening speakers include Ann Romney and New Jersey Governor Chris Christie.
