Gas Prices on the Upward Trend
ELMIRA (WENY)---With one more month to the busy summer driving season, prices at the pump are on the rise, once again.
The National Average for a gallon of gas surged 13.7 cents to $3.64, it's highest level since May.
It marks the biggest one week increase since May of 2009 and was likely due to a series of refinery and pipeline issues that affected the gasoline market last week. In New york, a gallon of regular gas is at $3.86 and in Pennsylvania, $3.63.
