PRETORIA, South Africa (AP) - South African Olympic runner Oscar Pistorius has been charged in the shooting death of his girlfriend.

Police say model Reeva Steenkamp was killed early this morning at Pistorius' home in Pretoria and a 9 mm pistol was recovered at the home.

Pistorius, a double-amputee, made history in London's Olympic games.
