Recall for Baby Monitor Batteries
WENY -- 800,000 baby monitor batteries are being recalled because they can cause burns. The recall affects video monitors made by Summer Infant.
The rechargeable battery inside can overheat and rupture, posing a burn hazard. There have been 22 reports of overheated and ruptured batteries, including smoke and minor property damage.
The hand-held, color video monitors were sold with a matching camera at Babies "R'' Us, online and other retailers between 2010 through 2012.
