New York (AP) - A huge investigation in New York leads investigators to arrest 71 people charged with allegedly using the internet to collect and trade child pornography. A police chief, a rabbi, a boy scout leader and little league coaches all charged as a result of an investigation by Federal Authorities in and around New York City. One of the largest-ever round-ups of people who anonymously trade child porn over the internet.

Federal agents seized tens of thousands of illegal images from nearly 600 desktop and laptop computers, tablets, smartphones and other devices. The authorities say this could be just the tip of the iceberg. The dozens of computers confiscated could yield clues leading to even more suspects and arrests.
