Baby Falls From Window In Ithaca
Police Say The Fall Was Accidental

ITHACA, NY (WENY)---A 16-month old baby is recovering from a three-story fall. Police say it happened on Thursday night around 5 o'clock at the Fall Haven Apartments in Ithaca.
When first responders arrived on scene, the baby was conscious, crying and alert. Ithaca Police say the baby had fallen through an open screened window located less than a foot above the living room floor and fell approximately 14 feet to the grassy area below.
The baby's mother had left the room for a moment to fix a baby bottle when the baby fell. The baby was airlifted to Upstate University Hospital in Syracuse.
The investigation continues. Police say the fall appears to be accidental.
