Buggy Crash Seriously Injures One Person
STUEBEN CO. (WENY)-- A Steuben County man is recovering today after a man hit his horse-drawn buggy on Tuesday night. New York State Police say Titus Miller of Cameron was in his buggy on County Route 123 when he was hit from behind by a car.
The driver was 71-year-old Michael Whritenour of Jasper, who was later charged with driving while intoxicated.
Miller suffered serous injuries. He was taken by LifeNet Helicopter to Robert Packer Hospital in Sayre.
Investigators say more charges are possible. Steuben Co. District Attorney Brooks Baker responded to the scene and assisted with the investigation.
