BREAKING NEWS: Change of Venue Granted for Calvin Harris

OWEGO, NY (WENY) -- A New York State Court of Appeals has granted a motion for a change of venue for accused murderer, Calvin Harris.
The motion was approved this week by State Supreme Court Appellate Division. Harris' case will now be transferred from Tioga County, to Schoharie County, New York, which is near Albany.
As we've reported, in late 2012 the state's highest court overturned Harris' 2009 murder conviction and ordered a new trial. The court ruled there were errors made during the jury selection process in Tioga County court.
Harris is accused of murdering his wife, Michele Harris, who disappeared in September 2001. Her body has never been found. Harris was originally convicted of her murder in 2007, but that conviction was also thrown out, after a surprise witness came forward at sentencing.

Late last year, the state's highest court overturned Harris' murder conviction and ordered a new trial. The appeals court ruled there were errors in jury selection at Harris' second trial in 2009.
