Car Crashes into  House in Horseheads

       FRIDAY UPDATE: Horseheads village police have filed charges against the man who crashed his car into a house Tuesday night.
     Thirty-three year old Phillip Hayes of Pine City is charged with Driving While Intoxicated, Reckless Driving, and several other vehicle and traffic charges. Hayes was arraigned and is free on $5,000  bail.

HORSEHEADS, NY (WENY) -- Fire crews responded to the scene of a car that crashed into a house in Horseheads Tuesday night.
       Around 8:30PM, fire departments were called in for a report of an explosion, but discovered a white Ford Taurus station wagon on fire after colliding with the home at 206 East Mill Street. 
      Two people were inside the home but not injured.
      East Mill street was blocked off for more than an hour while crews put on the car fire and police reconstructed the scene. Horseheads police are investigating.
