2nd Hung Jury for Corbin Whyte
Written By: Renata Stiehl

ITHACA, NY (WENY) -- The murder trial for an Ithaca man accused of a 2010 murder ends in a hung jury for a second time.
The Tompkins County court judge declared a mistrial this afternoon, after the jury couldn't reach a verdict for Corbin Whyte, after deliberating for four days. It's the second time this has happened; Whyte's original trial last May also ended in a hung jury.
Whyte is accused of shooting Paul Garcia in December 2010, after Garcia reportedly robbed Whyte of cocaine and cash.
A conference is scheduled for February, and a judge could decide to re-try Whyte a third time. Whyte remains in the Tompkins County jail.
