Corbin Whyte: Makes Bail, Back In Jail

ITHACA---(WENY) Last month we told you the jury had reached an impasse and the judge declared a mistrial. Whyte was bailed out of one county jail Wednesday and then immediately transferred to another.

According to our media partner, the star gazette, Whyte made bail Wednesday after Tompkins County Judge John Rowley reduced Whyte's bail on murder charges from $25,000.00 to $5,000.00.

Despite making bail, Whyte found himself thrown right back in jail. This time at Chemung County where he's being held on 10-thousand dollars bond in connection with a felony drug case. 28-year-old Whyte is charged with two counts of second degree murder, first degree robbery, and tampering with physical evidence in the shooting death of Paul Garcia back in 2010.
