BREAKING NEWS: HOME EXPLOSION IN CORNING
3:20 UPDATE: Corning Fire Chief John Tighe says the victims were an elderly man in his 80's, and his grandson who was in his 30's. Their names and conditions have not been released at this time. The two men were airlifted to Upstate Medical Center in Syracuse.
UPDATE: A neighbor tells WENY TV News he and another bystander pulled two men from the rubble, after the home explosion rocked the neighborhood. The neighbor tells us there were two men in the home, and were burned but able to walk after being pulled from the debris. The two men were taken away in an ambulance. Their identities and conditions are unknown at this time.
CORNING, NY (WENY) -- Emergency crews are on scene of a reported home explosion on Corning's northside this morning.
Pictures coming in from the scene show debris at the site where a home once stood on Wilson Street. Neighbors from blocks around the explosion site say they felt their homes shake; pictures of neighboring homes show damage.
