Corning Swears In New Members

     CORNING, NY (WENY) -- The city of Corning swore in its newly-elected leaders Tuesday afternoon.
      Corning Mayor Rich Negri took the oath of office as he begins his second term. Also sworn in were councilmembers Steven Maio, Chris Karam, Frank Muccini, and Jim Nelson. 
      2013 was a busy year for Corning, as the Crystal City winning a national contest to be named "America's Most Fun Small Town."
     Mayor Negri says 2014 will have a lot took look forward to as well.
     "L
ooking forward to the completion of some of the projects that are ongoing, whether we are involved or not, such as the Corning Inc. expanding CMoG, that's exciting, the new high school, that's going to be exciting and of course the new hospital, which will open in July," Negri said.
     The new city council will hold its first meeting of 2014 on January 6th, at 7pm at City Hall.
