Police: Man Shoots Ex-Wife In Church
COUDERSPORT, PA (WENY)--- A Coudersport, Pennsylvania music teacher is charged with first and third degree murder. Police say Gregory Eldred walked into a Coudersport church, shot and killed his ex-wife.
       Diane Sitler was a music teacher at Northern Potter High School and served as an organist at the First United Presbyterian Church. That's where Sitler met her untimely death, allegedly at the hands of her ex-husband.
      Police say Gregory Eldred walked into First United Presbyterian Church along North Main and 4th Streets around 11:30 Sunday morning.
     He then allegedly opened fire at his ex-wife right in the middle of a church service.  Eldred was sudbued by parishoners until police arrived.
    Eldred is charged with first degree mruder, third degree murder, simple assault, and making terroristic threats.
