Reed and Shinagawa Gear Up For Debates

(WENY)-- The Presidential debates are over, but our local Congressman Tom Reed and Democratic challenger Nate Shinagawa are gearing up for the start of their debate schedule. Nate tells us that he is putting significant weight on the upcoming debates so he can further narrow the gap in the tight race for the 23rd Congressional District.

Today, Nate talked a little debate strategy saying "a lot of people watch debates and say oh he had a good one liner and a good zinger. It's almost like a sporting event. As much as I want to win a debate that way, I really want to win the debate on substance, on issues, on ideas".
