          HORSEHEADS (WENY) --  You may have noticed gasoline prices are dropping, but what about diesel?  Well they're on the decline too, and for local businesses that rely on that type it fuel, it can make a big difference.

         According to the U.S. Department of Energy, diesel prices have dropped six and a half cents in the past week to an average of $3.78.  And diesel prices are down 17 cents from this time last year.

         We spoke with workers at Parmenters Automotive who service, repair and run their own fleet of nearly 30 trucks that mostly run on diesel.  They say the drop in diesel prices means it's more likely people will come to their stores for repairs.

          "When it was higher, our business stays pretty even as far as that goes," says Brady Allis, the truck shop manager.  "But there was definitely more complaining from customers as much as how much diesel fuel cost."

          "With fuel going down we're running with a little bit more efficiently, and things are a little bit better," says Roy Trimmer, the logistics manager.
