       ELMIRA, NY (WENY) -- Elmira College students won't see a tuition hike next school year.
      The college announced today it will freeze tuition and room and board rates for the 2013-2014 academic year. Merit-based honor scholarships will also be increased by a thousand dollars each year for new full-time students entering E.C. next fall.
       President Ronald Champagne says holding the line on costs helps keep students on track to graduate in four years. The tuition freeze does not include any cuts to programs or services.
     According to the Elmira College website, tuition and room and board costs just under $50,000 a year.
