Hurricane Sandy reached the Bahamas today.

The storm is expected to continue moving North, and off the coast of Florida by Friday morning before weakening back into a Tropical Storm.

Some models have it continuing northwest toward the coast, and that could potentially have a high impact for our area.

But, with the storm still a few days out, it's a little to early to make a solid prediction as to how damaging Sandy will be to our area.

Cornell Climatologist Jessica Rennells says, "It is likely that the biggest impacts we'd see would be rainfall. Right now if we look at our predictions for precip amounts , in our area we're kind of in the 3-4 inch range, and that's still in a lot of uncertainty."
