Fracking Review To Be Released To Public?

ALBANY---(WENY) Sixty-five state lawmakers have asked Governor Cuomo to release the DEC's review on shale gas drilling to the public. Assemblywoman, Barbara Lifton sent a letter to Cuomo Tuesday saying the DEC's health impact analysis on shale gas drilling should be made transparent. And, the public hasn't been given any information.

At a budget hearing Monday, DEC Commissioner Joe Martens told lawmakers there was no separate health study done. However the environmental study identified certain adverse health impacts from gas drilling and preventative measures that would need to be taken.
