Family, Friends Mourn Loss of So. Tier Woman
BATH (WENY)-- Friends and family are mourning the loss of a Southern Tier woman, found dead this weekend. Investigators and loved ones have been searching for Bobbi Jo Hatter of Bath since she went missing on March 19th
Their search has ended tragically when Hatter was found dead in a free standing hunting blind near Route 14 in Bath on Saturday. Many questions still remain. The Steuben County Sheriff's Office and State Police have scheduled a press conference to address some of those questions Tuesday morning.
Investigators are still waiting for the toxicology report. Preliminary autopsy results show no signs of foul play. Hatter's death is being ruled accidental. The leading cause was determined to be from hypothermia.
Friends and family are remembering Bobbi Jo as a kind and loving woman. They don't think she left her family intentionally.
"Everybody enjoyed being around her," said childhood friend Dawn Fisher-Clafin. "She was funny, very sarcastic. she was a very real friend, a very true friend. she was feisty. She was just a beautiful person."
Funeral arrangements have not been made available as of yet. Bobbi Jo Hatter's family is not answering calls or detailed questions at this time, and is asking for some privacy during this difficult time. If you'd like to offer your condolences, you can send them to The Margeson Family at 5342 Chamberlain Road Bath, NY 14810
