Victims Identified in Fatal Corning Fire
Written By: Renata Stiehl
CORNING, NY (WENY) -- Law enforcement in Steuben County have confirmed the identities of the two victims in last week's fire in Corning.
The bodies were identified as 81-year-old Henry Hemond, and 66-year-old Gary Clark. Both men are originally from Vermont, but neighbors told us last week the two men lived in the mobile home on Kimble Hill Road in Corning for many years. The Monroe County medical examiner ruled the men died of smoke inhalation, after their home went up in flames on July 24th. The men were identified using medical records and x-rays.
The Steuben County Fire Investigation team is looking into the cause of the blaze.
