SAYRE, PA (WENY)---The Department of Agriculture has fined a Northern Tier ferret farm for animal neglect.

Triple-F Farms in Sayre violated eight regulations of the Animal Welfare Act, resulting in a $16,000 fine against the company. The decision follows an undercover investigation by PETA that found dead and severely malnourished ferrets at the farm.

The farm will also be forced to pay $28,000 for 38 labor violations.
