CORNING---(WENY)The Corning Museum of Glass says goodbye to one of it's own. Former Corning Museum of Glsdd Executive Director, David Whitehouse passed away Sunday following a brief battle with cancer.

     Whitehouse joined the Corning Museum of Glass back in 1984 as the Chief curator.He became the director in 1992 and then executive Director and Curator in of ancient and islamic glass in 1999.He held that title until 2011. Corning Museum of Glass President, Marie McKee says quote, David was a dedicated leader and a passionate scholar, and he will be sorely missed by his colleagues in Corning and around the World. David Whitehouse was 71.
