ITHACA -- (WENY) The Ithaca fire and police departments were called to the homeless camp known as the jungle around 3:30PM Wednesday afternoon.
According to a witness at the scene a tent in the camp caught fire with someone inside. Ithaca police said they found a 53 year old man at the camp with severe burns to his body.
An employee of nearby Cayuga Lumber was using snow to put out the flames on the mans clothing.
Police say the man was taken to an area burn unit and is in critical condition at this time.
