ITHACA, NY (WENY)---A 26-year old Ithaca woman is charged with grand larceny among several other charges after leading police on a chase in a stolen van through Tompkins County.

It happened around 3:30 Monday. Police say Samantha Maynard stole a Lincare cargo van from the 400 block of South Plain Street. The van was transporting oxygen--an explosive.

Ithaca Police, Cayuga Heights Police and the Tompkins County sheriff department all chased the van through the city of Ithaca into Cayuga Heights.

At the intersection of Route 13 and Warren Road, Maynard exited the van while the van was still moving in traffic. Maynard was apprehended and is also charged with fleeing police, reckless driving and operating a vehicle without a license.
