ITHACA (WENY)--- An Ithaca teenager is behind bars this morning after stealing and attacking a woman with a knife.

Police responded to the robbery on the 300 block of West Seneca Street in Ithaca where they found a 45-year-old woman with multiple cuts to her hand and face.

The victim told police that her attacker had a knife and stole her purse. A short time later, Ithaca police found and arrested Ynasia Adams, 19.

She's being charged with Robbery, assault, Larceny and Criminal Posession of a weapon. Adams is now in the Tompkins County jail on $10,000 dollars bail.
