Corning (WENY) - Market street was buzzing today with people ready to taste the local wine and beer at the gaffer districts annual Jazz and harvest festival. The weekend long party kicked off tonight with an all out jazz fest. On Saturday the harvest festival will have some country music as well. Each year people have a chance to grab a gaffer district wine or beer tasting glass, and go to different stores on market street and taste local brews. Neighbors say it's a great way to combine two different styles of music into one event. The festival goes all weekend and starts up again tomorrow morning at 11 a.m. with the corning farmers market.
