Tompkins County (WENY) - A rally is planned in Tompkins County to fight for living wage for some of the county's employees. The issue of living wage for all county workers including contracted workers is a hot topic in Tompkins County right now.
A rally is set for 4 P.M. outside the Re-Community Recycling Center on Route 13 in Ithaca.
The Re-Community Recycling Center is a private company contracted by Tompkins County for it's recycling services. The rally is to try and get livable wage for these employees too. More than 1000 people have signed a petition calling for the legislature to change living wage policy.
