Man Saved After Falling Into Ravine

DRYDEN (WENY) -- An amazing rescue in the Town of Dryden yesterday. 
     An 85 year old man was saved after falling down a 70 foot icy ravine behind his home. Tompkins County 9-1-1 got a call around 11:20 AM of a person that had fallen down a ravine and was bleeding from the head.
     When the Slaterville Fire and Ambulance Squad arrive they found the man was stuck in the ravine for some time.
     Ithaca Rescue crews rigged a rope system at the top of the ravine and sent a firefighter down to rescue the man. Everyone got out of the ravine ok. The entire rescue took an hour and a half.
