      OWEGO, NY (WENY) -- Hundreds of people braved the frigid temperatures last night to honor fallen Owego Firefighter, Captain Matthew Porcari.
     Family, friends and strangers gathered at Fireman's Fountain for a candlelight vigil. Porcari was killed fighting a fire in Newark Valley Monday night, when the floor collapsed beneath him. Another firefighter, Lieutenant Daniel Gavin, was hurt in the collapse but survived.
      Porcari leaves behind a wife and two children.
      The Owego Fire Department announced Wednesday that calling hours for Capt. Porcari are scheduled for Saturday from noon to 4PM at the Owego Middle School Gymnasium, at 3 Sheldon Guile Boulevard in Owego. Funeral services will be held Sunday at the same place at 2PM; a reception will follow in the middle school cafeteria.
