Woman Accused of Passing Drugs to Jailed Son Through Kissing

PENN YAN, NY (WENY) -- A Yates county woman is accused of passing drugs to her son while kissing him during a visit at the county jail.
The Yates County Sheriff's Office charged 54-year-old Kimberly Margeson of Penn Yan with criminal sale of a controlled substances, and promoting prison contraband. Margeson was visiting her son last week, and allegedly passed Oxycodone pills from her mouth to his while giving him a kiss.
Authorities haven't said how they discovered the drugs. Margeson is free on bail. Her son is also charged with promoting prison contraband; he's currently serving a sentenced on an unrelated weapons charge.
