Motive Uknown in Pittsburgh Stabbing Spree
MURRYSVILLE, Pa. (AP) - He wasn't a problem student or an outcast, like kids who've been involved in other school violence across the country.
According to the attorney for the 16-year-old suspect in yesterday's stabbing attack at a suburban Pittsburgh high school, "there must be something inside this young man that nobody knew about."
He says he thinks police are just as puzzled as Alex Hribal's family is, about what might have prompted yesterday's attack -- which injured 21 students and a security guard.
Hospital officials say 10 boys remain hospitalized, including three in critical condition.
Hribal is being held without bail on charges including four counts of attempted homicide.
His attorney is seeking a psychiatric evaluation of him.
